ya well the car does burn some oil to and u can smell it more the higher the RPM naturally. so ur thinkin it must be seals then forsure??

okay well ya i got an air compressor and all that so ill see if i can rent the tool. and i dont have the pipes totally intalled yet so the engine is pretty much bare. would that cause a problem? the turbo has nothing connected to it nor does the TB and the PCV valve hose is not connected to anything

ya well im just in the process of installing my Turbolife FMIC so i cant get it running for a while yet. so would i need to take it to a shop to do a leakdown test?

well no all that oil is not in the intake pipe. there was oil in the intake pipe but BARELY any. just a thin film. the bulk was at the bottom of the coldpipe right as it exits the SMIC.

car idles fine and everything. i didnt even notice the problem until about a few weeks ago when i noticed oil dripping from the pipe connecting the hotpipe to the BPV. and how do i do this leakdown test??

there IS oil in the intake also yes but not near as much as in the pressure pipes. thats probably becuase the turbo sucks it all in eh??

but could that just be a mild amount of blowby that has been happeneing since 03?? cuz some of it is so hardened on its like mud so it must have been there for a long time

well im putting on a brand new FMIC and brand new BOV so i dont care about the stock pipes and intercooler. but how do i find out if it is infact my turbo or not?? what can i do to find out forsure??

well then it may not be the turbo becuase there was alot of oil in the intake pipe also so its like that pcv im guessing. and ya i was going to just put a breather filter on it i think

also i should state the car has 108KM on it and as far as i know this is the first time the pipes have ever been off or anything so could that just be 108KM of mild blowby??

so i got me a Turbolife FMIC kit and im in the process of installing it. tonight i ripped of the bumper and all the old plastic pipes and as i was taking off the pipes i notices ALOT of oil in them. im sure the pictures speak for themselves... is this normal??

yikes... well thats not good news for me i dont really want to weld on the flange if the BOV wont hold pressure. i may just create a custome rubber seal to stop the leakage. think that may work?

oh really? is there not guys on here that have made them work i thought? also (i dont know if it matters) but did u weld on the flange? and yes i was parked and reving it but normally even that gives a loud enough blow off the head through the hood.. especially if its supposed to be RFL.

well ya i have the turbolife FMIC i jsut got in today. so i will be relocating the MAF on the coldpipe. but i jsut hooked up the BOV to my stock intercooler just so i know what it sounds like.. but it didnt make any sounds.. it would open and release air but it wouldnt make a loud blowoff...

im not saying all SRT4 drivers.. some are really good guys but most of the ones where i am from... they run thier mouths SOOOO much and beak every single other car that roles by even tho the majority of them have beat the s*** out of the SRT4 in a race. like ya i know they are pretty quik cars...
