    2017+ CX-5 Moose Test

Even without modifications, the base CX-5 platform handles quite well. Before we bought ours, it was basically the handling and overall feel that made us pull the trigger over all the other CUV's out there that we test drove. These characteristics outweighed the lack of power compared to some...

    2017+ CX-5 Moose Test

Agree 100%...first upgrade we did on ours was to increase the wheel/tire size...lighter by 7 pounds per corner compared to my OEM pizza wheels/Toyo tire combo and improved cornering performance. Our CX-5 handles 90% as good as my previous 70K 2016 Audi SQ5 (which had 21" wheels). Once I get...

    Coding the Mazda CX-5

How is the steering feel in the X3? I'm eye balling the X3M when it comes out next year...a CUV that can keep up with my M2 would be sweet!

    Door mirror adjustment

I agree, this has worked on my 4Runner...someone or something may have forced the glass portion of the mirror away from it's factory set location. I would try this before going to the dealer as I dread leaving any car of mine at the dealer!!

    Coding the Mazda CX-5

Yea, picked her up 2 months ago. It's primary reason I don't complain about the relative lack of power of the CX-5...lol

    Coding the Mazda CX-5

This...many cars can be coded by owners, mostly German manufacturers from my experience (VW, Audi and BMW). Many features are turned off for the North American market that can simply be activated. I coded my previous i3 and my current M2 (the second day I had it!)

2017~2025 Oil change using a non-Skyactiv oil filter

Just an FYI...when I ordered oil and filters from Avondale a few months back, the filters I received were the Thailand manufacturered filters.

2017 cx5 driver side door wind noise

Chances are the high pitched noise is coming from the factory roof rails if you have them installed. I had the same issue, the high pitched noise would start at about 35 mph and was quite annoying. I haven't brought it to the dealer yet but I put a small piece of electrical tape over the joint...

Really disappointed with paint thickness :(

Yep, since this is being posted in the CX-5 forum, not the CX-9 forum, my comment is applicable for the particular topic being discussed. People are posting in here that own pre-2017 CX-5's, and the OP has a 2017+ CX-5. Their comments are not applicable to the OP's issue.

    DIY Brakes?

Turning rotors means basically having a shop machine a thin layer of the rotor surfaces off to give you a fresh flat braking surface on both sides of the rotor. Like NelsonLewis said, I would just get new quality aftermarket rotors. I am getting ready to do my 4Runner brakes and I will again...
