Usually yes, the voltage should lower to 12,7 if the alternator stops working. Weird issue, i suppose it has to do with what reads the voltage but no idea what it is

if you mean the front transfer case, it is bolted on the transmission, there is no bushing holding it in place.

when i had that problem the AC pressure was low, you might want to check for a refill

5J is a signal from the BCM(with car navigation) to the audio unit, pin 1M red/yel. I suppose it turns on the back up camera. It is only a signal between the BCM and the audio unit.

if your transfer case is bad and you don't live in a climate where it is usefull, who cares if it works or not? If it is shot and you didn't realise for over a year than maybe it is because you don't really need it. Rear wheel bearing tend to go bad on these and they are not easy to change...
