Parking - How Close is Too Close?

The parking spots are generous in length and adequate in width. I didn't pull further forward into my spot because I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't hit the pillar with my door when I opened it.

Parking - How Close is Too Close?

That's exactly not the case, as I tried to describe. The lines for his spot extended several feet behind his rear bumper. This is in a parking garage and the driving lanes have plenty of room.

Parking - How Close is Too Close?

Apologies if this is too much of a tangent. No harm no foul? Or, what the #@&! was he thinking? Mazda parked first, and the trucks bumper wasn't close to the back of its space.

2013~2016 CX-5 Brake Rotor and Pad recommendations?

I like this bottle. Didn't cost much. Used with cheap endoscope bluetooth camera so I could see how much fluid was coming out while I bled the brakes by myself: And here's the view from the camera:

    Next Gen CX-5

If they want to serve Mazda 6 customers, give them a Mazda 6. I'd like to see a CX-5 that is taller then the CX-50, and has a plug-in hybrid power train and higher towing capacity. I'm fine if that turns out to be the CX-70, but afraid the CX-70 will be too big and/or ugly like the CX-60

    CX-60 Towing Capacity

The US CX-5 has a much lower tow rating than other country models. I assume something similar for upcoming models. The CX-60 isn't planned for the US.

    Questions Before I Buy CX-50

Same here, but 18 GT, and it needs to look better than the CX-60. My last new car prior to the CX-5 was 22 years ago.

Escort Redline 360c Radar Detector - Blendmount, alternatives

If you don't want to spend a fortune, this one worked great for my Radenso: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073QR5TZ8/ I also got a like $10 rearview power tap from Ebay. It didn't list Mazda, but I eyeballed the size of the pins and they also worked perfectly for back stabbing the connector.

Another (but different!) extended warranty question

The fact that you shaved off $750 of their profit, and they still made money, speaks volumes.

    2016 CX-5 Drive belt pricing

I look at the pictures and see, "yes, that's a belt". I guess its helpful if you weren't sure which belt he was talking about. But can't actually see the surface of the belt.

RUMOUR: New CX-9 (possibly CX-90) destined for release in 2024

Yeah, I jumped ship from an Acura to a CX-5. I'm looking forward to seeing how the CX-70 turns out. The CX-50 is about a push with the CX-5 to me. I think I'd prefer an updated CX-5. I hope the CX-70 isn't too much wider, and has a good plug-in hybrid power train, and not ugly. I don't...

    Individual door Un-locking

Canada also gets much nicer and better designed accessories for no apparent reason. Specifically the floor mats and trailer light harness. Fortunately those are compatible with the US cars and easily ordered from Canada.

My New 2020 Mazda AWD Has Cylinder Deactivation

I have a 2018. It doesn't directly indicate when CD is active, but I infer it from the instantaneous MPG reading. My impression is that when I use radar cruise control, it engages more than when I'm controlling the gas with my foot.

Radar Dimax AS-8 225/55R19 103V Tires Finally Installed

I'm considering these. Don't like the Idea of paying ~$1000 for new tires, that I may only use half the life of before I get my next car. Discount Tire online chat says they only order the brands they stock. I suppose I could try calling, or going in person. Walmart has them for $125 each...
