    Weird thing I noticed

Same problem here, pisses me off. When I get out of the car, I grab the top of the door (window frame) and then step out of the car. This way I'm grounded as I step off and I don't get a shock. I often forget and then I remember before I touch it. The anticipation just KILLS me. I hate IT!

Installed Boost Guage, Stock MSP, and a little surprised

Which car do you like better? The Maxima was definitely built better and faster, but the MSP handles like a dream. Everything I hated about the Maxima I love about the MSP, and everything I hate about the MSP I loved about the Maxima. It's good to change sometimes.

    Tires Suck

If there's ice on the ground, it really doesn't matter what kinda rubber you got on there unless it's studded or chain'd. Enjoy the great grip in the Summer.

Installed Boost Guage, Stock MSP, and a little surprised

Mine holds it's max PSI until about 5500 RPM or so, then it falls right to 6.5

Installed Boost Guage, Stock MSP, and a little surprised

I missed this one before, thanks, that's the answer I was looking for. A little bewildered about why it runs 8, almost want to try another boost guage. I guess I'll only be upping my boost by about 2PSI which is a little upsetting. My car didn't feel 'special' or really even that fast. It...

Installed Boost Guage, Stock MSP, and a little surprised

From my research on this board, I think I'm going to run 9-10 daily on 93 octane post-flashed. I just want to confirm that when people are stating their PSI that they're speaking of their PSI at redline. Thus, I would be going from 6.5 to 9-10. Due to this my peak at 14 will probably be 12-13...

Installed Boost Guage, Stock MSP, and a little surprised

That doesn't answer my question about whether people are commenting about their PSI at redline or their max PSI around 4000 RPM.

Installed Boost Guage, Stock MSP, and a little surprised

Installed my Ultra-lite Autometer boost guage (0-35 PSI). The install went very well, I've installed a few boost guages on other cars before, so I didn't struggle. Anyways, driving the car is the important part. As I drove, I floor'd it in 2nd and third gear to shockingly see an 8 PSI peak at...

    Update on AEM

Yeah the CAI is more expensive, thus it's better. Again, the marketing of the CAI product wins over the dumb minds of car enthusiasts.

    CAI vs. SRI articles

Having owned several turbo cars before, having dyno tuned them, and having read lots of articles on this, SRI for turbo is better. I had a 300zxTT and this had been covered there in much more detial. My friend has a Supra Turbo and the same results found. It's just that the average owner of a...

    Oil Change

9.99 for oil/filter change at FireStone if you have their autopass credit card (which is free). I used to do it, but $9.99 is just too hard to turn down. I bring my own oil though, and they charge me even less. When I spoke with the manager where I bought my car, they said you'll need proof...

First start in the morning RPM-

It's normal for RPM's to be high, it's a way the engine can get oil pressure up and circulating.

Trading in the msp....check out what the mazda manager said.

Well being that edmund's TMV, which I feel is a respectable number, is the only number available now, it may persuade the values of NADA and KBB. I say, wait till early 2003 when the MSP's are all gone and the blue book price is available.

    lemon law

Yeah I'm going in for the third time about a rattling rear deck, I think in California if the problem isn't fixed within the third attempt it can be lemon'd. I'd lemon my car for another MSP because like I said in another thread, I'm sure my MSP has the worst rattle here.
