No, the reason atmospheric bov's cause this problem is because when they "blow off" they are letting out a lot of "unmetered" air. Basically the air isn't reading through the Mass air flow sensor. Because of this sudden loss of air the ecu tries to make up for it and this is what causes your car...

It really depends on how hard you drive. For example the Factory Service manual (for most cars) calls for changing it between every 25-50k miles. However, I probably change mine after every 2 oil changes (change my oil every 2-3k miles). But, then again I really drive the piss out of my car...

No need to have it flushed, just drain and add the new stuff. You might think about changing the tranny fluid a little prematurely (after say 5k miles) after the switch if you are concerned. -Chris

The pipe was left plastic because there are honestly no performance gains by having it stainless and would just drive the cost up. We wanted to produce a cost effective CAI. However, if you want the complete set up in stainless we can make it for you for extra $$. :D
