I made a template of the area of the carpeted bump I wanted to cover by cutting cardboard with scissors, then traced that shape onto a piece of .100" aluminum. Cut that out and mounted it with the male side (hooks) of velcro.
I can remove it for cleaning or to give it a polish once a year...
I had a front lip, but the second winter it got taken out by a big chunk of hard snow left behind on the highway by a plow. As much as I liked the look, I don't miss worrying about it.
Kid5 the car looks great. Before I even looked at your avatar I knew you were from PA by the row houses in the background. Looks very similar to where my parents are from, Mahonoy City and Pottsville. cheers
I measured my garage door height when open, and that van will fit. I AM GETTING ONE. If it's an ugly little van, I must go there.
previous rides:
1988 Stanza Wagaon (big cube, two sliding doors)
1993 Eagle Summit Wagon (one sliding door)
Michelin X-Ice (I think that's what they're called), mounted on 17" aftermarket alloys. Two winters in CT and I like them very much. I also like having alloys and not having to have ugly steel wheels for 6 months out of the year (half the car's life).
Rockin - I have the same problem with my car antenna. 1st thing I changed was to the CX-7 antenna so I wouldn't clip the door on the way out.
I like small houses, and I like brick. I would be right at home there (I live alone).
