I use a mostly used roll of paper towels. I get them from the kitchen when they are about 4" around and stuff them between the seat and console and on the sides. Handy if somebody spills something as there's a roll of paper towels close by.

Does your 2019? My 2016.5 does. It shuts off if you leave a door open, and it shuts off even if the car is locked.

I always try to have my little jump pack aboard. I think this kind of minor leakage must be pretty common. I know if I wait a week the battery will be low, I don't know if I should try waiting two weeks:( A lot of people get those NOCO Genius battery maintainers.

The dome light is programmed to turn off after a period of time to prevent completely discharging the battery. Is the battery dated 2017 ?

I guess when you use the mechanical key ususally it triggers the locking system to unlock all of the doors, which needs the battery. But you would think it should open the driver's door.

The cooler temperatures and the wind gusts can make a difference, too. Especially if there are also sustained winds, unless they are behind you.

You should have 12.6v for a charged battery at room temperature.

A starter can develope a bad spot but I think it's kind of unusual. Make sure the battery is fully charged, it sounds like it could be low, despite being replaced two years ago.

I think the fusible link is one of the bigger looking fuse-things in the main fuse box.

I know the side panels of the center console and the front console just unsnap. They are similar to the fuse panel kick panel on the driver's side so they are easy enough. For the tray etc., I haven't done that. Probably there are some details in the RESOURCES section under CX 5.

check the duct that goes from the air cleaner to the throttle body. Something might have a leak.

The rear brakes had some issues with the calipers and the way they worked with the EPB Electronic Parking brake. They might have been replaced already, mine haven't (55k mi). Just be sure to read up on them before servicing because not following the procedure will wreck them. It's also true...

I guess these kinds of noises can sometimes be explained by the slight movement of the drivetrain components because of the torque of the engine, or a heatshield moving and causing a sound. If any of the gearboxes need lubrication that could be an explanation and with AWD there are several...

I've had some issues with bad tires. On at least one of them I could see the variation in the tread when I spun the rear wheel by hand, but it was a small deviation, so not easy to see. I guess they have a gauge you can hold against the tread to measure it.
