i don't know what resistor to use but i do know you need one it is used to limited the amount of current going to the LED So You Wont Fry Them

heres a real picture from a highway took it myself would have went faster but had to slow for traffic

took the pic myself not top speed because i ran in the traffic its not that easy to take the pic look at the road but need to do it again to get the real top speed
