    looks good, ours is same mounting cept we used a plate of weld steel (thicker so it doesnt move), and 2 clamps on the body. nice job sir.

    considering car manufactures dont build turbos usually, id say out of spec is out of spec. if the shaftplay is to bad it will hit the compressor housing on any turbo.

    its just a 90 degree elbow, its not that big of a deal. id imagine it just grabs air from the fenderwell rather than the engine but its really not that complicated. and that intake duct above isnt for a msp.

    its not just for bleeding air, its for keeping the coolant cool. the heat exchanger can only cool so much with its pass. if you never get the coolant to ambient cause it keeps circulating to the intercooler, then it will just get warmer and warmer till it heatsoaks. the resevoir keeps ambient...

    Res on a DD most definately. At least 2 gallons. also the grav feed from res is also very correct (unless you get a self priming pump), the first pump my friend had blew cause it was in the front bumper and just wasnt low enough to have water at the inlet at all times. his res is in the trunk...

    you can put ice in the resevoir tank, thats what my friend does and its very effective.

    the bosch cobra pump works great. I know someone that uses it on his MSP and hes had it for a few years. the first one failed on him cause he didnt have it in the right spot and sicne they arent self priming its VERY important water is constantly sitting on te inlet or itll burn up.

    and honestly a new MSP or p5 rad is almost that much anyhow (for aftermarket), at the dealer its definately more than that. I had the CS one for like 2 yrs now. its greeeeeat.

    today i gazed at my MSP, and praised it because its water pump impeller isnt plastic like our new beetle who decided to snap a few fins off of the pump and now i have to replace it and the timing belt.

    The MSP is a lil diff since theres no cruise control but this should get you close enough.

    Ive had the vibrant, CS 2.4 (s, j, all the way), GHL, you name it. What are your power goals, state requirements, and sound requirements? Thats what really decides it.

    when the car is below normal operating temp itn uses a diffrerent set of fuel tables and inputs so its hard to use that as a guide for whats wrong. what mods you have and whats it doing? ill see if i can help. also, do you have a boost gauge to see if its a vac leak?
