Energy Suspension Rear Trailing Arm Bushings

You CAN do exactly what the OP did with hand tools by following his photos and cursing A LOT. If you replace your bushings with stock type replacements you MUST HAVE A SHOP PRESS. Trying to get the old bushings/shells out without one would be virtually impossible. You could, in theory torch...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Finally, finally, finally got a set of real MAZDA branded all weather mats to replace the Subaru rubber mats I have been running for almost two years :( Big thanks and best wishes to Davicho, without whom this would be impossible. Oh, and rolled over 216K on the way into work this AM...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

One thing almost always leads to another. When I replaced mine it turned into a greek tragedy of failed and failing bits and pieces. On the plus side, once it was all done I had a much happier 5

    Help

It isn't what I would call "essential" That looks like the largest of the heat shields, the one that covers the exhaust manifold over the rear of the engine. It helps reduce the transfer of heat from the engine into the passenger compartment. I have been running mine without any heat shields...

    Getting ready to order

Hasn't even been a month since I got the stuff and I'm already having twitchiness over getting it installed. Curse my lack of patience!! LOL If I can get a big enough patch of my driveway melted free this weekend maybe I'll do the speakers myself....

Koni STR.T Front Struts for MS3

I think the questio Davicho is asking is " does koni offer the STR.T damper for the V50? And if they do, would it be compatable with the 5? My feeling would be no on both counts sad to say. There may be aftermarket support for the V50 in Sweden, but not here

Shudder on braking - 2012 Mazda 5 sport

I'll throw my hat in the "replacement rotors" ring. Mine was shuddering horribly before I replaced my rotors a while back and the improvement is huge. Even if the rotors are rusted to the hubs you shouldn't have any real trouble with the swap out.

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Foolish, I sent you a PM. We here in the mid-atlantic are in for one hell of a snow-storm between tomorrow night and Sunday morning. I have parked my 5 (in the interests of NOT wrecking it LOL) and will be driving my beater Subaru for the duration of the crummy weather. I had to put a new...

Koni STR.T Front Struts for MS3

If not, you will be more than happy with the Yellows. I get the impression that they are not meant to be "adjusted" all the time to suit various conditions. I think they are adjustable to your specific tastes in terms of firmness and are then left alone. I haven't touched mine since about a...

What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Were you having issues with thigh support? I ask because that is my principle issue with the stock seat, and would switch to the Speed3 unless it fails to solve the problem. My issue stems from the fact that the OE seat is 10 years old and the foam has collapsed in the base. It has actually...

Suspension choices - going stout, not comfy

If your van is anything like mine, you will end up with a better than new car when all is said and done. I didn't replace the springs and seats on mine (the OE stuff still squeaks and creaks in the cold) but I did the shocks, mounts, lateral links, and trailing arm bushings in the rear along...

Suspension choices - going stout, not comfy

Where I think you will find the "new" rear springs are better is when the vehicle is loaded with people or cargo. The original springs tended to be too soft at that point and forced the under-specced shocks to carry too much of the load, thus causing premature failure. The revised springs...
