Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

Good news! Its not only CX5's having this issue........ Ugh. Saw a member on the Miata forum, with a 2020. He's been having the exact same XM load issues randomly. Mazda dealer replaced CM receiver/updated software etc, still happened. He then disabled XMtravelink updates and that "fixed" the...

    Got my CX-5 Today

I think the seats will soften up for you. My wife has a 2018 Touring (with leatherette seats) 35k miles on hers. I have a 2019 GT.....I find he touring seats much less firm.

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

In the NAV options there is a setting for using traffic. It used to be called Historical Traffic and is a checkbox that can be toggled on or off. Turning it off removes XMtravelink from overlaying the stock NAV with traffic flow data.

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

Oddly I havent had an issue with XM Travelink in a few weeks now. Lots of short trips recently and no loading issues. One thing Ive been doing recently is leaving Mazda Connect on the radio screen and on AM/FM. Load issues previously happened when I left the screen on NAV at shutdown or on my...

GT-R 2019 - Can't drive with only parking lights on?

I have to correct myself here. I thought it worked but it actually did not. After fiddling with the procedure off and on for a couple days I gave up.

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

Personally I'm convinced the issue is on the Mazda hardware/software. My wife's 2018 Touring without XM is so much quicker to load up( .100), it just doesnt have all the extra (XM weight) hanging off it lol. Sometimes it can take a minute or 3 before my radio is fully useable. I get...

Rental CX-5s showing up on Autotrader

Used cars are used.....buy it brand new and drive it home, its now a used car to everyone else. I'm passed the "gotta be new" phase, I'm comfortable purchasing a used car with remaining warranty and saving 5-7k. To me, the trade off of savings vs out of the wrapper is worth it. Last new car I...

Dangerous cylinder deactivation trouble on 2018 CX-5 and Mazda6 models

My wifes 2018 has 36k miles, my 2019 has 19k miles. No engine issues, both had reflash done.

Rental CX-5s showing up on Autotrader

Carfax will show maintance records, I looked at this before purchase as an easy way to see if regular servicing was done. This was the first time I purchased a former rental, so far so good. Being it's a Mazda with excellent mechanical reliability, that goes a long way in boosting preowned...

Rental CX-5s showing up on Autotrader

Just to add to this, there are a few Mazda dealers in my area that snap up as many former rental Mazdas as possible for resale....some dealers sell them as CPO for 2-3k more then other dealers who don't CPO but reduce the asking price a couple grand. Very common practice at least out here in the...

Rental CX-5s showing up on Autotrader

My 2019 CX5 GT was a rental to start its life then sold to me by a Mazda dealer. Purchased it with 13k miles back in January, still plenty of warranty left. Drives like a new car and I saved 4-5k vs purchasing new, no regrets. Most 90%+ if not all pre-owned 2019/2020's are going to be either...

    CX-5 Off Road Question

Heres my opinion as I've owned both. The CX5 is more capable/utility but if you have no need for the extra capabilities Mazda 6 is a solid choice. After owning both a 2016 6 GT and now CX5's (2 in the family) I enjoy the benefits of the extra cargo space and AWD system too much to go back to...

Sirius XM issues on a 2019 CX-5 GT

I suspect all xm (travellink) equipped CX5's exibit these errors. Possibly all xm radio CX5's do it but I suspect its the XMtravelink implementation causing this since it seems to be a 2019+ issue.

    Question on the AWD system

And there you go again, you cannot admit the obvious advantages of the AWD system which makes it superior.....and now relegate yourself to nothing more then a FWD fanboy. The FACTS are the AWD CX5 is vastly better in poor weather driving....how you even want to debate that is ridiculous and...

    Question on the AWD system

Ok so I will be the peacemaker and go all in that there is not appreciable difference driving a FWD or AWD CX5 on perfectly dry roads. The FWD get a tad better mpg and when both versions are at 100% full throttle the FWD should edge out the AWD in a drag race. Also the AWD is superior...

    Question on the AWD system

People keep linking videos and you continue to gloss over them, that is testing on a track. Again, the AWD drivetrain is superior to the FWD in all types of driving conditions. Now your claiming Mazda is lying to everyone with their AWD promotional materials?? Your not an AWD fan that much...

    Question on the AWD system

That is the point, there is nothing special about the FWD CX5. The AWD system is superior, there is no debate about that.

    Question on the AWD system

Not as many peopl All those real world driving metrics are based on full throttle acceleration. I've yet to smash the gas pedal on either of our AWD CX5's as there is sufficient acceleration at part throttle in 99% of our driving. Actually I correct that, a couple times last year on a backroad...
