    flatlander937's Mazda2 build - SCCA STF / NASA NXF

The 30 series are monotube as well which is a nice plus. I am also hoping to have my new setup complete this weekend, at least for a test drive. I will then take it apart again to get the housings powdercoated. I will have some pictures in my build thread as well.

Do the 450 in the rear first. I am really happy with the spring balance on mine and I have 400 in the rear with 450 front.

    Ride heights

I think I am close to what any has. I usually measure from the top of the fender to the center of the wheel or the ground. I tend to remember I am in the 24" range. I will be measuring it again soon because I am going to be working on the front suspension. I will post up what I have found.

    Best interior care products?

We use Prima products at the shop. Not for just interior stuff either. They basically have a product for anything. http://www.ddmworks.com/Car-Care-_c_119.html One of the strange things in their Banana gloss wax smells really good. It is nice to have a car that smells nice on the outside...

The shifter bushings are anodized aluminum. Also if you want cheap height adjustment just get a set off ebay. You can get a set of 4 adjusters with springs for $40-$50. That's what I did. Even if you don't use the springs it is still worth it for the adjusters. The springs with mine were...

I know I have not changed anything in the rear so whatever it is at the ride height I am at, which I don't remember the exact heights either. I know in the front I have -2.5 degrees of camber and 0 toe. I also have the offset lower bushing for more caster. Zach

Hey guys it has been a while since I posted anything about the car so I figure I would post up some pictures from the track day. I have a new fastest of 1:42.1. I know that there was one spot where I was leaving time out there as well. Also the brakes were not at their best so they will be...

For those wondering the track day went great. My car was doing well except the brakes started to go. I was planning on adding brake cooling ducts soon anyway. I have a new best of 1:42.1, but I know there is a at least another half second out there because of the fading brakes. The new tires...

Right now it looks like it is going to be a nice day. Might just be a little damp in the morninig. My wife is going to be taking her car to help carry all of the stuff we bring and her car has what I can use as rains. Later this year I am hoping to get another set of wheels for the 2 and they...

I was actually thinking that one of your afternoon runs I could put in the solo so I could get data from your car. I am really interested where the time is. I mean we know you are faster on the straight, but how much faster am I in the corners to make up for it is the question. Lets both hope...

OK so hopefully I will have video's from the autocross up this week. Very fast course. I was hitting the raised limiter in 2nd more than once. Right at about 65mph, so that's why my finishing times wasn't as good as I would have hoped because I was way down on power compared to everyone else...

Improve low RPM throttle lag and throttle linearity (quick and easily reversible)

Ahh I think I see what you mean now. I wouldn't have noticed it because I never drive below 2000rpm, While diving around I typically keep the rpm's above 2500. I can check on my car at some point possibly tonight sometime while getting ready for an autocross tomorrow. I have a tune, but we...

Improve low RPM throttle lag and throttle linearity (quick and easily reversible)

I checked hitting the gas at a few different RPM as well as heel and toe down shifting. Is there a particular RPM you have the issue? I am thinking tonight I might try to get a video of the tachometer and say when I floor it so you can see how it reacts. Any gear you have in mind, so I can...

Improve low RPM throttle lag and throttle linearity (quick and easily reversible)

I was unsure of this when I first read it because of while we worked on tuning my car we looked at the throttle mapping and there isn't any noticeable lag between throttle application and the throttle body movement. Last night I unplugged the switch and this morning I noticed no difference in...

Not that I have seen while scrubbing them in, but this weekend will be a better tell with the autocross as Michelin. I think I will be fine mainly because my rear doesn't move enough to hit the fender. Also the outside of these is in the same place as my old race setup. The extra width is all...

I did not have a chance to weigh the wheels alone, but with the 225 tires mounted they were 33.5lbs. Pretty light.

    ZPS Build Thread

I just picked up the wheels with the tires mounted. Only 33.25lbs each so a little over a pound less than my 195 RE-11R's on the stock wheels. I have an autocross this weekend, but it is looking like it is a high of 39 so I am not going to use these, but instead slide around in the Miata...
