Got the new windshield in today. Surprisingly, they did a good job, looks factory. Glad I paid the extra for OEM glass, which I now get to file a claim against the utility company to recover.

I don't think I've ever even seen the interior of the 3-door. I'd imagine that the panels are held on with plastic clips and maybe a few hidden screws, but hopefully the folks with access to the service manual can post up a diagram.

Well it was on Monday, but this happened: The party responsible is visible in the reflection. The replacement showed up at the shop just today (wanted to go OEM, not interested in aftermarket junk) but probably won't get installed until Monday. I just hope they do a good job.

Gap under the headlights looks normal. The bumper sticks out by the fender a bit more than it does on our 2s, but not a whole lot. Remember that this is an economy car.

Is the click really the immobilizer? On both of our 2s there are two clicks, and they happen only after you've driven about 50 feet. I'd heard they had something to do with the power steering. As for the bumper, pics will help. We have that 1/4" or so gap below the headlights, but no other real...

Last I checked, it locks up at 5mph. The SkyActiv auto is one hell of a transmission -- really the best of all worlds.

I really like the Meguiar's interior detail wipes. They clean decently, and don't leave a glossy/greasy finish.

There are no 2's of either the current or next generation at the Minneapolis Auto Show. Somewhat surprisingly, there aren't any preproduction CX-3s or Miatas on display either. Just several Mazda3's, CX-5's, and one each of the Mazda6, CX-9, current gen Miata and Mazda5. Guess Mazda's going...

I can't say I've ever had the oil drain back out of the filter and into the pan. When I do oil changes, the old filter is full when I spin it off.
