So you are saying use the Celica GT-S MAF if you have a 1.6l? I have a 2000 protege with a 3" intake. I manged to custom the job and a degree of difficulty with the oem protege maf sensor (angles bends etc)...and I got the motor to run fine. Only problem is that my check engine light is on now...

You have a celica sri&maf on your car? I have a 3" intake on my 1.6 and somehow figured out a way to keep the car running with the stock maf sensor installed...only problem here is that my ecu is setting off the check engine light. Can I put a MAF from a celica on my car and remedy this problem?
