    Power liftgate question

Really??? Even the passenger side needs to be unlocked? No wonder. Yes, in my case the passenger side is usually still locked. I don't get it though. Why would they make the lift gate dependent on the passenger side doors. Thanks for the answer lowincash! Much appreciated!

    Power liftgate question

Hey folks, this is driving me utterly insane so hopefully someone can answer. I park my CX-5, turn off the ignition, The keys are still in one of the cup holders. Immediately I press the power liftgate button next to the steering wheel (doors closed or open) and I get 2 beeps with the liftgate...

Very nice! Always wondered how the CX-9 wheels would look.

I did not check that. Not quite sure what you mean from lock to lock. Mine is a 2017 GT w/Tech. I believe the offset on 2016.5 and earlier was 50, then 45 on stock 2017.

Guide How To Disable Daytime Running Lights (instructions)

Thanks man. I was afraid of that. I just want the dang main LED's off, not the strips and halos. I'll never understand why Mazda did this.

I don't think I was implying that the offset determines tyre size. Like GJ was saying, in certain aggressive offsets, it may cause the tyres to rub. I think that's what the OP was asking. Tyre size will be determined purely by the width of the wheel itself. Mounting that wheel/tyre on the...

The offset on my wheel is 42, which is very close to the OEM 45. Even with the 255 size tyre on a 8.5 wide wheel and 42 offset, I still have plenty of room. I'll have a look later roughly how much.

OEM TPMS sensors on aftermarket wheels?

Thanks for the info Karl. The issue is that the company I bought my wheels from uses a specific type of TPMS and their machine hasn't yet been updated with latest manufacturer codes to program the sensors. Hence they said I can either slap in the OEM's or wait for their machines to get latest...

OEM TPMS sensors on aftermarket wheels?

2 part question really... Does anyone know if the OEM TPMS sensors be used in aftermarket wheels? My local Mazda dealer tells me there may be "fitment" issues. Not quite sure if this is true or if they just don't want to deal with this. Secondly, IF OEM sensors can be used in aftermarket...

Any experience with Ebay side steps?

LOL, I totally agree. I'm still in good enough shape where I can walk without a cane and I can get into the car without an additional step. This would be purely for looks. The way I look at side steps is kind of like a functional ground effect / body kit. It gives the car a sporty look. These...

Any experience with Ebay side steps?

Hey Folks, I'm trying to find some side steps/running boards for my '17 GT. I could go with Romik or similar brands but truth be told, none of their designs really speak to me. I have found the following model on ebay that really caught my attention but I do have some reservations getting parts...

Hi LoinCLoth. The wheels look considerably larger than stock. Much like you, the thin width and whimpy stance bugged me. If you want to stick with OEM wheels, then increasing your width is limited. I think 235 is the max you can go. There is a great thread that lists all possible wheel/tyre...

    Show me your CX-5 wheels

Hi Pete, I haven't weighed the OEM's (yet), but I promised some members that I will...probably later today. From what I understand, they are about the same weight as the OEM's. Some report the original, complete with tyres come in at around 60/61lbs. These RWC's weigh in at just under...

    OEM 19" weight??

Thanks! I did right from the start! But trust me, that thought constantly looms in my head and I've gone through that horror in the past. If they want them bad, they'll get them. I wonder if there are any extra insurance options.

Sorry, my bad for not making myself clear. I meant "nerf bar". Commonly also referred to as "running boards" or side steps :)

    OEM 19" weight??

Come to think of it, you have a good point. 5mm would be sufficient but the other side of me says that it should be left as is. I'll give it some thought. Thanks for the suggestions.

    2017 CX-5 Pics Thread

Hmmm...are you talking about an exterior light bar? I've never really considered that. I just replaced all the regular bulbs inside the vehicle with LED bulbs. My knowledge of exterior light bars (assuming that's what you mean) is very limited. Haven't really looked into that.
