i also still own a non-turbo 89 probe. it has well over 200K on it. and still put down 105WHP and 124WTQ. started at 110 and 130 from factory. all i added was a cat-back and an upgraded coil.

i myself own a Ford Probe. part Ford, part Mazda. i have yet to encounter ANY! large problem with it. it has well over 140K on the engine,tranny, and rest of the vehicle. i would believe that if mazda was to put its name on somthing, it would look it over and test it quite rigorously before it...

yep, i goofed the install. got the plastic spacer on. all is good in the land of boost. 16 psi is fun :D :D

A/F guage goes blank when its happening. seems i missed a small plastic spacer from the old pump assembly. gonna take it out and do it again. thank you mazda for an access door in the rear seat!!

yes, i recently installed a walbro 255 fuel pump into the Probe. now when i get on the boost, all she does is bog and backfire. sounds like a DSM when they run a 2-step. pops and hesitates under boost. am i over running my FPR or is it something else?

like with most. the book was even better. but the movie still kicked ass.

boost can spike with many variables. including engine load. in higher gears (ie 2nd and 3rd), load on the engine is increased. and boost may spike. try it in 5th gear. wouldn't be suprised it you get 7 or more.

usually about 1400 or so is a good temp. over that your running lean.
