I understand i am bumping this thread from a while ago but that sub box looks very nice. I'm semi-surprised I haven't seen anyone fiberglass a sub into the spare tire well. You could probably fit a really nice 12" in there that pounds like crazy without losing space.

Hey, I need new brakes to get my p5 to pass inspection. Was looking around at kits and the Power Stop K789 kit is what i'm looking at. Power Stop's been getting some decent reviews from what i've seen online. AutoAnything has it on sale for 244 for 4 rotors / 4 sets of pads. Any thoughts...

Doing it by hand can be reallllllllly time consuming if your paint was as bad as mine. I used 3 different stages of compound and pads with my porter cable before it was in the condition i wanted it to be.

Unless he welded them, the bar is removable. You can see he has a screw through the mount into the crossbar.

The Illumina's are an extra 200$, so its essentially a third more. The HP's are about 100 each whereas the illumina's are 145 for fronts, 156 for backs.

I have the blues (hp) and they are much much better then the OEM stuff. Had a friend ride in the car who has a speed protege and he said it was a better ride. The roads around here are bad enough that, for me, buying the adjustable ones would be a waste. I'd need to run them at their highest...

My guess is mounting holes for non-yakima crossbars.

FYI thats not how it comes factory. That is two raptors with some sort of cross bar. The raptor rack itself is just the tire tube with the claw for the frame. I have three of that model on the top of my car with 36" crossbars and 4 q-towers. Just for point of reference, the crossbars +...

The yakima roof rack is fine. I have 3 of their raptor mounts on it and have no issues with the tailgate. But to the OP, I lost about 3mpg with the rack on 24/7 since i was too lazy to take it off. With three bikes on top its drops a bunch.

Very true but just keep in mind if you buy the combo strut/spring combo I don't think they include the p5 ones. The HPK247 kit that protegegarage.com and others sell just includes the sedan (same drop the whole way around) springs.

Just FYI if you get the Tokcio spring and strut package its made for a protege... NOT a protege5. The springs included will get you slight sag in the back. Thats why I got different springs. Eibach makes springs specifically for the p5 with a different drop in the front and back to keep it...

I installed the HP's two weeks ago. Ride - little bit firmer then stock. Height - dropped the car atleast 1.4 the whole way around with eibach springs.

I'm looking at getting a CIPA 36400 mirror to replace the stock one. Anyone have any experience with how hard it is to run the wires? I'd like a temp sensor on the car, have one on my other car and the auto dimming would be nice. If anyone has any info about other makes/model's of auto...
