    2018 CX-9 Wiper Blade Replacement?

I just bought some standard Michelin wiper blade replacements from Costco. Not a single one of the little plastic adapter dudes that they give you fit the CX-9. Has anyone used common wiper blade replacements or are wiper blade replacements a dealership only item? I thought I bought a Mazda...

OEM Crossbars - Pain in the butt

Yeah. They went on very easily. They clamp to the stock rails rather than bolt to them. They also sit a little higher than I'd like. I'll take a few pics when I get home.

Brake Controller vs Emergency Braking System

I have NOT yet downloaded the remainder of the wiring diagram for publication. I've been really slammed at work. When I installed my brake controller, I DID run an additional wire from the rear of the vehicle to the front. I installed a 7-Pin trailer connector. This has an independent ground...

OEM Crossbars - Pain in the butt

I thought the design WAS subbed out to Thule. Thule makes the official dealer accessory rooftop box. I recently purchased the Yakima crossbars that are supposed to clamp to the stock rails. I'll photo up when they get here.

    I know not what I have -

My one go to for cutting off a Touring vs a Grand Touring is the Heads-Up-Display in the dashboard. Also, in your sidebar, you have listed Soul Red Crystal paint and Parchment interior... Parchment is a Ford color. I believe the tan interior is called, "Sand" in the Mazda.

    Speed Limiter?

My old 2003 MPV van would top out at 112-115 MPH before the ECU would cut fuel from the engine. Does the CX-9 have a cutoff anywhere? I was able to get to an indicated 126-127 with no fuel cutoff.

    Retrofitting i-Stop onto a USDM CX-9?

It seems that this is a common feature on Skyactiv engines for other markets, but not in the US. Has anyone flashed their PCM with software from another country to have the i-Stop system activated? https://www.mazda.com/en/innovation/technology/env/i-stop/

    2018 vs. 2019

I have a Yakima 4 bike hitch mounted rack. The CX-9 doesn't even notice it. Of course, I also use the hitch for other things: https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123866108-Towing-with-your-CX-9 I will be installing the Android Auto/Apple CarPlay components into my 2018 model. I'll...

2016 TC CX9 Workshop Service Manual

You have to pay Mazda for the online access. It's $39.99 for a day and $1399 for a year. I have a partial wiring diagram up here: https://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123865839-Anyone-got-a-lotta-free-time-on-their-hands

4WD System High Load = Tomfoolery Detected...Thoughts on the CX-9 in snow

Will 17s clear the brake rotors? I have the old 17s off my old 2003 Mazda MPV (RIP :( )... Which are the stock units from a 2001 Millennia from the scrapyard. 50mm offset and 67.1mm centerbore Same as most 2000+ Mazdas

4WD System High Load = Tomfoolery Detected...Thoughts on the CX-9 in snow

Apparently on the RX-8s, you're supposed to hit Traction Control Off once, and then press and hold it for a REAL off. I'll try this next snow.

4WD System High Load = Tomfoolery Detected...Thoughts on the CX-9 in snow

4WD System High Load is displayed The indication is displayed under the following conditions. Park the vehicle in a safe place and check that the warning indication light turns off, and then drive the vehicle. Contact an Authorized Mazda Dealer if the indication is continuously displayed...

Why did you purchase a CX-9?

I did not cross shop the CX-5, as I wanted the towing capacity for the camper. I also have two children and two dogs, so the added space with the 3rd row folded (Or 3rd row occupied if going somewhere with friends) was a consideration. Unlike many SUV owners, I use my SUV for Sport Utility type...

First 500 miles on my CX-9

The CX-9 isn't that large. I mean, it's no Miata... But the average soccer mom is cruising around in a Dodge Caravan or Ford Expedition. I rather like the CX-9's size.

Why did you purchase a CX-9?

Just like the title says, why did you purchase your CX-9? I've always been a Mazda fan. Their taglines, "The Soul of a Sports Car" and, "Zoom Zoom" speak to me. My first car in High School was a 1985 Mazda RX-7 and I learned about wrenching on them. I've still got it along with several other...

    Towing with your CX-9

U-Haul's trailers are stout... But man, they tow like pigs. Lost several MPG with this one and it was noticeably heavier and more rigid than with my car hauler or the camper.

Beep beep beep beep beep... Yes, I am aware the tailgate is open, SHUT UP!!!

Is there any way to disable the tailgate open alarm whilst driving? I picked up a TV Stand at Costco and it was a little too long for the CX-9 with the seats up. I figured no biggie, we'll just strap that sucker down and roll on. Everyone else does it with lawnmowers, ladders, etc. I've done it...

    Towing with your CX-9

2915 lbs (dry) plus cargo... I also forgot to bring the weight distributing hitch and trailer brake controller. Knowing this, I drove fairly conservatively leaving long braking distances and whatnot. Towed rather nicely in the Blue Ridge mountains at highway speeds though. Dropped mileage from...
