    Bruce's 2021 Mazda3 Sport build

I absolutely LOVE Soul Red. What's your take on the rear suspension?

MPS gen 2 dyno run. Stage 2...Not making expected bhp

More important than final numbers, is the change in numbers... What did your power look like before all those mods? Did you get a baseline dyno plot for comparison? Also, AFR of 8 sounds wicked rich.

Airbag Symbol Flashing once then 9 times

One flash, followed by nine flashes would imply airbag code 19. Need workshop manual to understand what code 19 means...

Can the 2016 Mazda3 Hatch Borla Exhaust System also fit the sedan?

The sedan is longer, and the bumper covers up the tips. I think you "could" cut the tips, but then you'd have to point them downward to avoid melting your bumper. At that point, you'd essentially have this: https://corksport.com/2014-mazda3-axle-back-exhaust-sedan.html

    which wheels were you considering?

    5x115 vs 5x114.3 debate

Yup, the hub just speeds up the alignment. The lugs seat the wheel and hold it in place.

    5x115 vs 5x114.3 debate

I wouldn't do it, especially on a car as heavy as a CX-9. Get proper wheels.

    Would 17x8 et 40 work well on a Protege5?

17x7 NC Miata wheels with 205/45-17 tires would be an excellent daily option. Lightweight, they will fit, and give you good performance when you want to tear it up depending on your tire choice.

    Would 17x8 et 40 work well on a Protege5?

Sorry, I also had 3mm spacers front and rear, so effective offset of +47. If those were 215/45-17s, I believe they would have rubbed without camber correction or fender rolling.

    Would 17x8 et 40 work well on a Protege5?

I think you'll have fender issues in the rear without adjustable control arms. In the front, you'll need camber plates to bring the tires under the fenders, too. Back in the day, I had FD RX7 wheels (16x8 +50) on my Protegé sedan, which has slightly more clearance than the Protegé5. I had...

    2007~2015: Lowered CX-9

Good to hear! I'm making plans to refresh the suspension on the wife's CX-9, and I'm planning on doing the springs, too.

Just checking in to see how the ride has been holding up with the springs? Any new noises or issues?

    MP3 intake manifold difference?

Much easier to just remove the VCTS flaps and port match to the gasket than it would be to find an actual MP3 intake manifold.

    MP3 intake manifold difference?

That is NOT an MP3 manifold. Those flaps at the head interface? Those are the VTCS flaps. The real MP3 manifold never had those.

    FSZE Protege5 Track Build

I find this VERY interesting. Thanks for sharing! Isn't the FSZE ecu supposed to rev out to 7000 or 7500rpm? I can't remember... Also, looks like the 626 manifold might be limiting your top end a bit? The FSZE manifold might be worth a bit more on the top end. Or, grab an FSDE manifold and...

    Negative Camber?

Nope. The MP3 and MSP had different rear end links, but the Protege ES and Protege5 use the same links.

    Negative Camber?

Yup, everything under the car (suspension and subframe) are the same.
