...another set of the Conti LX25's late August. Was happy with the first set. There were rebates on the Conti LX25's and the PirelliScorpionASplus3. Based on my research I didn't think I found enough difference to go with the PirelliScorpionASplus3 and the Conti LX25's had a better price...
I was shopping for replacement 19" tires and noticed that Tires-Easy.com have a $200 coupon off a set of PirelliScorpionASPlus3 tires. That took them down to $216 each for me including tax, shipping, and installation. YMMV depending on state taxes and local installation fees.

..., have you ever considered a separate set of dedicated winter tires?
Your two listed picks of Conti LX25's and PirelliScorpionASplus3 are tops of the leader board. We had the LX25 and loved them except for hydroplaning resistance fell short for me.
For saving money on tire/wheel...
I don't think that's possible with our family. The CX-9 is just SOOOOOO SMOOOOOOOOOOOOTH going down the road, especially with the Michelin CrossClimate 2's on there. We have both caught ourselfs, shall we say, "speeding". So much so, yeah, I put a Uniden R8 in there. And yes it's saved our...
...about get another set (was pretty happy with them and decent a few times or so CO mountain snow) but I've been seeing the PirelliScorpionASplus3 pop up. Seems the Conti's do a little better in the snow. Currently DT has rebates on both. $110 on the Conti's and $80 on the Pirelli's. Think...
...If this speed limit was 65 MPH, I drove 70. If it was 70, I went 75. Fast enough for most traffic out of the left lane, but it is amazing how much fuel economy improves.
I will also say that I replaced my stock tires with PirelliScorpionASPlus3 tires and they have lasted over 100,000 miles.
...comes to mind.
There are a number of tires I am considering, including the Goodyear WeatherReady2 and PirelliScorpion WeatherActive as all-weather options… or the Continental CrossContact LX25 and PirelliScorpionASPlus3as all-season options that still do well in winter.
Thanks in advance.
In the car stock tire size 225 55 19 -> Michelin pilot sport 4 A/S if money is not a problem.
PirelliScorpion Zero ASPlus3 is also good option. Those are top tiers. Going mid level there are more options.
PirelliScorpion Zero ASPlus3 and Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus are at the top of my personal list. It really comes down to what you want your tires to do - Tire Rack’s site will let you prioritize different aspects of customers’ ratings to help you find what best fits your needs.
How do you like them? Too late to ask, probably, since I just ordered a set myself - getting them Tuesday. They seem like a good compromise on handling, wet traction, and noise ... according to the web :)
I've used the Conti DWS 06 previously and they were/are good tires. However, when I recently needed tires for our CX9, I went with the fairly new PirelliScorpionAS + 3s based on reviews and price. Have a little over 5k on them and no regrets. Getting good wear, quiet, good handling. You don't...
Once you get some miles on them and a feel for these tires let me know what you think. I may get the same Conti's I have again. Never had Pirelli's before.
