How to replace belt molding on rear passenger door ('16.5 GT)?

I did all the work. I was looking into some other things about the car and brought up the belt molding at the body shop (I know the guy). He said you can work it up by hand and then the catch (on the left slide) will break off. Then simply insert the new one and be sure the new catch is secure...

Where to find firmware upgrade list?

That site was taken down a while ago. The site that went up after it was taken down per Mazda's request (what I was told in this forum).

How to replace belt molding on rear passenger door ('16.5 GT)?

hmmm...bought the belt molding already but wondering about having the local Mazda dealer do this. They've been a good group. Don't want to screw something up. I somehow missed that the garnish piece overlapped the belt molding. They had stated that it would cost between $80 - $120 which should...

How to replace belt molding on rear passenger door ('16.5 GT)?

Looks like I need to pull that garnish piece straight out to get it to pop off. But the adhesive tape could be a pain. Assuming the clips don't break apparently the tape would need to be replaced?

How to replace belt molding on rear passenger door ('16.5 GT)?

There's a trim piece that covers part of this beltline molding but I don't see how to remove it first to then get the beltline molding off.

Really it's all kind of a wash. Sometimes it's nice to put the money back on the card you made the purchase with conveniently. But, six one..half dozen the other really. Used some of the balance at Costco last night to pick up some items for getting together at my girlfriend's friend's place and...

Ya, I found that shortly after my post. Looks like a mild pain but probably the way to go.

How to replace belt molding on rear passenger door ('16.5 GT)?

There's been some slow sun rot on the belt molding on the rear left door (behind the driver). I've been told this is easy to replace. As easy as grabbing it near the catch/latch and pulling on it which would break off the locking tab and then just snap the new one in. Is this right? Or would it...

350 miles so far on the new LX25’s. Very happy with these so far. Compared to the Altimax the LX25's corner better and are much quieter. I'm amazed at how quiet the '16.5 GT is now with these tires. Hope it lasts as miles are added to these tires.

    Disable the lock beep?

Yes, it's loud. I tend to hit mine twice to be sure it's locked when I walk away. As some times when I get out of the car and move away too quickly, it won't auto-lock (detection). Wish there was a way to adjust the volume for this. Haven't found anything in the infotainment either. I don't...

First day on the LX25s. Very quiet and drive nice. It's nice how quiet they are on concrete highways. But most brand new tires do pretty good, right? I think these are quieter and feel different.

Ya, I've been doing this for so long it's almost habit. Don't remember the last time I've even had a flat little alone a tire that got damaged. I did have a tire that did get damaged but that was sooooo long ago. As for road-force balancing, I actually asked the guy at DT as I was reading from...

Apparently they do a check to see if it's necessary. If not then next time but I've never had it done yet and haven't had any issues. Got to love smartphones. Able to sit here and submit my rebate online while I'm waiting on my car to get done.
