Big brakes are on

Thats a bummer, have you looked into getting a membership at the track they are building in Tamworth?
I have all the paperwork here but i am weary abou sending the cash because the town doesn't want it there. plus i usually have more track days than i can attend due to work and life.

Fair enough, if it does get built I'm sure it will be booked all of the time, I thought about getting just a bronze memebership but most of the track times are midweek and I would have a hard time taking the days off of work.

I did hear they were having problems with the town and financing. They were actually giving ATV tours of the proposed track area for a fee.

The COM guys and SCDA and BMW will do track days there so i will ru with them who knows i may write them a check. here are pics and as you can see in one of them the rim just clears the caliper.

hey bill... check this out.. maybe you'd wanna meet some pro people.. 'n your not that far away :)
If you move the meet to montreal to my favorite Rue in canada then i would be there. last month i was up there and saw a half a dozen mazdaspeeds alone. the rears i am going to keep them stock just change the pads if needed. but the car seems to still brake in a straight line so i shouldn't need them.

hehehe. mtl is a little out of the way.
and this is at Macklum's home, so it's nice and personal.

there's at least 4 MSPs in Ottawa... 2 oranges, 2 Titatniums... i don't recall seeing any yellows.
Carling motors has sold about 10 of them, but they're uncertain/unwilling to tell where the people lived.

Hey hey, was it you who had the brake issues at the NJ meet? Hope you found some pads before you had to drive home.

So 1200 bones for just the front eh? I bet you could recoup some of that cost by selling the stockers off of the car. I guess you arent going to run steelies on that bad boy in the winter either

well i ran steel 15s with snows this winter but i need to move those and get some 17's with snows. hey want a great deal on like new 15's with blizaks?

COM member here. Probably going to get to one of the NHIS August sessions. To busy until then.

Congrats on the brakes. I'm probaby gonna try stock rotors and Carbotech panthers for August.

Keep us posted on the wilwoods!

What do I have to do to get on the track at NHIS, I'm assuming that I need to become an SCCA member, probably a NER/SCCA member, do I need a special license to run SOLOI

don't join the scca they don't do much but auto-x and rally around here. look into the com club or scda or bmwcca and join the one that fits you best, or join several:)
