Thank You ASH8 !

New to us 2022 CX-5 CE

CMU upgraded from 11038 to 11048 - approx. 15mins
TCU upgraded from 10020 to 10024 - approx. 15mins

The upgrade process went as documented.

Wife wanted me to take into dealer to get it updated, afraid something would go wrong. After she called dealer and hearing, "need to make appointment", possible 1-2hr wait time even with appointment or take it in during the week and wait for faster turn around. So, finally it was a no brainer to her let me do it.

I understand that performing this type of upgrade if not performed properly could have adverse consequences. I guess Mazda still needs to work on the OTA upgrade process to pickup on new available updates so clients do not have to bring vehicle in to do something that should be user friendly.

Two things I hope future update(s) would address at some point for the CX-5 (2020+) below Premium trim is the ability to see tire pressure for individual tires on vehicle display or at least on the Mazda app since majority have TPM sensors.

The other being the ability to display digital speedometer on all display types.
I know, I shouldn't hold my breath.

Again, Thank You for your time and effort making this process available !

Made the update and it was very straightforward.

But, while the CMU is now 11048, the TCU is still v10008. rbender reported his TCU was updated to 10024.

Is this something i should also update and where would be the source for the update files?

unless you have opted out of the infotainment data collection you dont really need 10024
TCU updates are related only to the connected services setups

I recieved the TCU and CMU update files and instructions for each from Ash8. I still use the connective services and everything has been working as it should.

Received the TCU files and updated to TCU 10024 today. I use the MyMazda app. Haven't tested yet but don't expect any issues.

Dont know if its my imagination, but the infotainment system seems to respond a little faster.

May I please receive the newest update files? I'm new to the forum, but have a 2021 CX-9 and CX-5 with 10.5" screens. Nearest dealer is 2hrs away. I appreciate it!

anyone knows if any update enables HUD navigation reading from CarPlay/AndroidAuto?
or if this is ever going to be implemented for CX5? (it's there in CX50)
