Doesn't it work as a touch screen when the car is stationary? If so find the hack to allow touch when moving.

no 2021 cx5 does not come with a touch screen at all for North America

This assumes that the CX-5 infotainment OS is capable of processing touch inputs. Also assumes that there is some kind of communication port on the infotainment board for touch input.
If there is a port for touch input on the board, it would be normal that the OS can process touch input. I tried looking up online but couldn't find a head unit diagram for the new infotainment.
