Maintenance of rubber seal around hood and doors?

303 is the go to for so many things. Is that enough for door and hood rubber? I know there's more specialized products, but is anything more than 303 overkill?

On my last four vehicles, I've used the 303 protectant. A little expensive compared to some other products, but it works quite well (in my experience).

It may just be 303 in a convenient applicator bottle, but it works great.

I use a silicone spray. One can will probably last you the life of the car, if you only use it for rubber seals and lubing the hinges occasionally.

If you do use this, spray it on a rag first and let the solvent flash off before wiping it on to the rubber.

Or you can use the pure stuff. This will outlast many, many spray cans. Wet towel/sponge/swatch and then wipe on. Great stuff................ Frank

I have used dielectric grease with good effects on my 2000 Corvette.
