What have you done to your Miata today?

@bazooka joe I see you took good care of the ol' girl but how about a little R&R for yourself after that drive!

In addition to installing the MegachipUSA rear chip guards, I washed, clayed and waxed the car. Also threw a coat of TW Ice Seal N Shine on the wheels. Looking back, I wish I would have had them ceramic coated prior to mounting the tires.View attachment 309658View attachment 309659
Did I miss the spring install? Car looks great!

I'm so jealous you guys have your car out. Had the ac drained on tuesday but was too busy this weekend to get back to Mia.

Hope to have the calipers back this week and spend next weekend getting the car back together.

@bazooka joe Yeah but thinking I need to wear them down and swap to 215 before lowering. I get a little rub in the front at full lock and on large bumps.

@Reitrof Just think of the jealousy of the guy who doesn't have one to drive in a week. Haha. It will be worth the wait to have those calipers powder coated. I am close to pulling the trigger on a like new set of front calipers to do the same. But my OCD would require me to source rears so they match.

Which calipers are you looking at? And why
There is a guy selling some used OEM front calipers. If I did it, I'd want to buy some used or new rear calipers. This way I can swap all four at once and then sell mine for a few bucks.

If it takes to much longer the snow will start again! 😆

So I will be getting the calipers back this week but not PCed. Either stripped of paint or just painted. Guy I'm dealing with is a bit of an ass. Just need to get it back together this weekend and ready for upcoming autox and lapping.

So got the calipers back and the rears are not working in the parking brake. So need to source some rears. Got the car running and changed the oil and bled the cooling system. Fan motor still not working so started testing the relays. There are 3 of them and 2 of them are toast.

Ordered new ones at 60 bucks a piece and that's with a discount. Not looking good for autox this weekend, will have to use the 3.

Sucks for Mia!

Took her to a great Hagerty cars and caffeine at the Heritage Museum in Sandwich MA (Cape Cod).

So the caliper saga continues. The guy who was going to sell me all 4 for $100 bucks, CAN'T FIND them. SO another week lost and won't be able to make lapping at Calabogie this Saturday.

But was able to source 2 rebuilt rears from Amazon but they won't be here till a week Tuesday. Will get the front calipers done this week and get the front end back together.

At this point I have no one to blame but myself but I'm getting a little pissed about it.

Some nice cars at that show Mark. I like that rare Mazda Probe.

Damn Bruce, you just aren't having any luck so far this season with the brakes. That would have been one helluva deal for those calipers too. Will you be taking the 3 to Calabogie?

So the new relays are in and the rad area is back together. Car started and runs but could not get it hot enough to get to the fan temps to turn it on.

Calipers arrived and will start working on the car tomorrow and will get it ready for lapping this Sunday.

Had a huge windstorm blow thru the Ottawa area and have been without power for 5 days, just came back on this afternoon. Had a generator which saved the freezer and fridge.

Saw the new Top Gun movie last night which was epic!

Hmmmm, any more thoughts on the cooling system Bruce?

Nice! I know you are itchin' to get out on the track.

Damn, that sux but thankfully you have the generator to keep that food/beer chilled. ;)

I just might have to go see that this weekend. Def. one that I want to see with the "movie theater experience".
