Whining Sound After Turning Off Engine

I'm noticing a whining sound in the engine bay after driving and turning off the car. Coming from the general vicinity of the circled area:

Any idea what it is?

I've noticed that as well. I always thought it running self-test diagnostics.

It's the mass air butterfly motor. No idea why it does that, but it is weird.

I think every Mz5 owner, who looks under the hood, had this question at some point. It’s normal.

Buzzing noise?

When I shut my car off and take out the key I can hear a buzzing in the engine bay near the battery. I have owned the car for 3 months now and continue to hear it. I believe it might have something to do with my battery being low and I have had to recharge it twice because it would not start...
