I think those prices might drop a bit with the number of final 2021s due to arrive soon and the 2022s on their way
 
That's more than what I paid for my car when new. But I have the lowest trim level, these prices might be for the higher trim level. However, super inflation is real.

Actually the current prices have increased as of Jan 21, check the link above as the trending values are still going up.
 
All used car prices are up right now.

I just sold my Golf R to Carmax for more than I paid less than 2 years ago, including all taxes, maintenance and gas. I drove it ~2 years for $0. Plus, I still have the OE wheels to sell.
The offer went up a bit from last fall even with more miles.

Of course, that was countered by the high price I had to pay for it's replacement, so it was a win/lose situation.

True that. It's supply and demand right now. No discounts. It's buy it at our price, or walk it seems.
Two years ago I was surfing around for a Nissan Xterra. 2015 is the last year of production.
A good one was around $24K (Cdn) 2 years ago. Now they cost as much as when they were new. A 2015 pro-4X can run up to $34K for a good one.
