Seeking some help as to what the normal/acceptable airbag resistance should be.

I removed the drivers airbag from the steering wheel and probed the unit. getting ~10.1 ohms resistance on both sides.

using an OBD reader im pulling a code b2230
REF: DTC B1058, B2228, B2230, B2232, B2234 | MAZDA MAZDA3 1G 2007 DIY Repair Guide

I replaced the clock spring in hopes that fixed the issue but to no avail. now im wondering if i need a new airbag itself.

help??

Yikes....I hope you are careful with that air bag. They don't recommend measuring them with a multimeter.

That link you provided looks like it has good steps for troubleshooting this issue. If I read that right, it says no more than 3.7ohms? Other cars are generally under 4ohms as well. So 10 seems high.

I can't imagine any problems measuring ohms, airbags shouldn't deploy with ZERO power source.
