Navigation SD card compatibility question

Newbie here, so advance apologies for a dumb or covered topic.
I just bought a 2015 CX-5 Touring with no Nav SD card.
Will any Mazda SD card work, or are they year specific?
I have done some looking and see many for 2016 and later for $39.00 and just one for a 2015 for close to $300.00

NO, not any Mazda card will work. They're year or at least Gen specific.
The 2016 model changed infotainment systems so in all likely hood the 16 card will not work in the 15.

I just purchased a used 2015 CX-5 and I have the old style Infotainment (touchscreen). I have a physical button to push for Navigation but nothing happens. Is there a SD card port hidden somewhere in the cabin or is under the hood somewhere?

I have a friend that has a 2016 Mazda 3 and he showed me where his SD card port is located in his car and even tried to locate it in my car. Do I have to go to the dealer for this?

The earlier model cars had the port over on the far left side of the dash above your knee

The Nav system changed in '16. My '16 card will not work in a '20, either.

Yes but it will work in a 19. I swapped the cards between my 16 and 19 and they both worked.
