Getting new wheels installed today.
Konig Daylite 15x6.5. Keeping stock tires at this time. Will be upgrading to 195/50-15 soon.
This should shave a few pounds. Each wheel is 12lbs. Not sure what the steel stock rims weigh with hubcaps.

On a side note, I didn't realize it cost so much to install wheels. Discount Tire is charging $116 to mount and balance.

Tell them to go fall in a hole. It shouldn't be over $40-50 to mount and balance, unless your getting a road force balance. Nice wheels though!

buy the rims there, then go elsewhere for the mount and balance. the most expensive place around me charges $20 a wheel to do it. But even they are too expensive for me. I know a smaller shop that does them for $7.99 a piece.

It's actually only 16 dollars per wheel or tire installation which includes lifetime mount, balancing, rotations, flat repairs, and tire inspections at any location. You most likely bought lugnut kit and TPMS rebuild kits as well. Your factory lug nuts do not work on the Konig aftermarket wheels and anytime you take the TPMS apart they recommend to rebuild it, but it is not necessary.

Any pics of them on the car?

On a side note though nice wheels!

$116 to mount and balance makes more sense when you take into account that they're swapping the tires off of his old wheels...he's basically paying them double, because they're doing double the work.

No they won't do that it's against there culture. I know alot of shops will squeeze every dollar. Discount however has trained their guys in this and if they deviate its because some noob slid onto the counter and the Mgr wasn't paying attention. Here's my friends ticket when he bought tires for his truck, you just need to speak to the right person.

Besides units are units wheels or tires.

I'm running into the same problem with my local installer. Base price is 15.95 each, but that 60 series and above. 55 series jumps to 18.95 each, plus 2ea for rubber valve stems, 3ea disposal fee, and.... wait for it... 10 each for TPMS service. So that comes to 33.95 per wheel or 135.80 total.

You've got to be kidding me.

stock wheels are between 16-18lbs depending on whos online at the time lol eitherway 12lbs is much lighter..as for cost $116.00 seems rather high considering i live in BC Canada and the BC stands for bring cash ..lol it only cost me $58.00 including our 12% sales tax for all 4 mounted balanced installed on car ..you need to find another tire guy

That's crazy. Make a friend with a guy at a tire shop. 40 bucks gets you mounted and balanced. Sometimes even installed if you time it right.
