So....after a few months of toying around with my P5, it has decided that it wants to lay down on me, I have invested a small sum of money in it but after pricing used engines I don't really see it fit to put that much into a car with hail damage (and by hail damage, I mean it looks like a friggin golf ball). So I'm left wondering do I try to make my money back by selling the several still usable parts or bite the bullet and stick an engine in it......decisions decisions.

So insurance will not fix the hail damage?

An engine at a yard will be Sub $1000...

You are not that far from me, I understand how you feel about the car. Nice little car to drive around in but damned if you have to repair it. I have got a guy on here that going to do my swap for me for around $1.2k. I say keep it but only you know your limit as for if it goes or not.

The car had the hail damage when I got it so kinda screwed there, but putting and engine in a car with 250K?? Its not really worth it if I ever try to resell. I just don't know where to turn

I tried octane boost, but I still have spark knock......I think if I pull the rod out and drive a wooden plug into the cylinder, I can probably run on three cylinders

If there's no good body parts engine is done and trans has 250k on it I would put a new motor in it or scrap it
