So I was bored one day and I was looking over the new car sticker with all the info on the car and what it comes with and noticed it said we have seven speakers but I only count six... Were is the seventh speaker?

Also I learned from that sticker that our steering wheels not only adjust up and down but forward and back too!!(hump)

This car is the gift that keeps on giving!! A year later and I`m still finding new and interesting things.

Haha yea I got in my wife's car last week and realized the wheel telescoped...fairly stripped down 3i but still has the telescoping wheel for the win!

Yeah

It's comically small...6" I think.

It's part of the Bose system.

Yeah it's about that size in a tuned enclosure. Not meant to thump as much as fill out the lower end. The Bose system does a good job at moderate volume after which the limiters start kicking in. Don't expect to blow the doors off but for what it is it is enjoyable and a nice addition to a car at this price point. I had a chance to drive a 2010 and the centerpoint system is a bit better with respect to overall fidelity. The sound quality is tighter and more controlled. The center point speaker is good for certain types of music but doesn't do so hot a job with vocals that have a bit of reverb to them.

I found it....

The Bose sub in the MS3 is close to the worst example of wasted money I've seen in an OEM design. They would have been better off not even using it and giving me credit towards the real subwoofer I ended up putting in the car.

why is it a waste? doesn't take up any space (at least none that can be used for anything else). and subwoofer frequencies are non-directional to the human ear so they can be put anywhere and you wouldn't know where the sound was coming from

It's always funny listening to those who think anything less than a sub that tales up all your cargo space is a waste. :-)

The Bose sub isn't the best but it does a good job considering it's size. And the fact I can still load cargo and 4 in the car.

Bass is always about volume but unless you have the budget a car will always present a compromise.

i dont really see the sub as a problem, i mean yeah, its not that exciting or anything, but it does ok for a $25000 car. the thing that drives me nuts is the freaking rattle in the door speakers!!!
BUZZZZZZZZ....BUZZZZZZZ... RATTLE RATTLE RATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah especially with the windows down

I was suffering this yesterday while I was trying to take in the day with the windows down and music playing and the buzzing was driving me crazy!

I'm thinking of just installing some strategically placed dynamat.

yeah... i think i may pull the trigger on dynamat this summer. this is where the cheapness of the car/interior really shows IMO. maybe if i can afford the car advanced HU ill do dynamat at the same time...

Awesome, did the search and found this.

I think if it's a "BOSE" stereo, it should sound better then this... I'm somewhat embarrassed when my friends are like "Bose?!?!? Wtf? Turn it up and lets see what it can do!"
I'm all like (headshake "ok, here it is..."
Then they're like (hear ya)
Then the volume goes up... (encourage
Then they are
I'm like "well the car is pretty fast huh?" (wrc)

ya same here they see the Bose on the speakers and they automatically want me to blast it and are not that impressed but o well i still love the car

That's where it does it on mine... Maybe it's because the sub is closest to it?

Also, I don't know if everyone knows but- the amp is under the drivers seat and the sub is passenger

I don't think there is any other way to adjust the equlizer to the amp other then through the head unit.
