Has anyone done an aftermarket GPS Install?

Hi Everyone - new to this forum - some great info here!

Hope I have this in the right section.

I have on order a GS-I4 with convenience package as a company car. Hoping to be able to pick it up within the next 6 weeks or so.

Thinking of installing one of the Pioneer AVIC-F series GPS units.

Has anyone done an aftermarket install and have pics of how it turned out yet?

Gave up on the Nav System

Picked up my 6 this afternoon - sitting safely in the garage out of the -20C temps!

Gave up on the Nav idea, borrowed a portable for a week and realized I didn't really need one.

Some pics of my temporary XM radio install - need to find a way to bury those cables - the fit and finish on this 6 is incredible. Won't be as easy as it was in my previous car (Dodge Magnum) to stuff those wires between dash panels!

The antenna wire was easy to run under the trim for the rear window on the outside, and then through the trunk and under the seats up to the center console.

The XPressRC fits quite nicely in the little storage bin below the climate controls, and leaves plenty of room to access the power outlet beside it.

I'll post some pics of the final install once I've had some time to look at it more closely this weekend and find a way to hide those wires and mount the unit solidly.

ran mine under the zebra wood pieces they pop out of place enough to slip the wires in
