You are going to have a long day but it should be fun...I did the G2 paint and it looks great and is holding up very well..

Hey Comback....
I got the wheels from elementwheels.com....they were doing a deal for $875 shipped.

I Could ******* Kill Someone At The Mazda Factory!!!!!
So....the Injen CAI went smooth.....I decided to go through the driver side wheel well instead of removing the bumper (if I was to do it again I would just remove the bumper)...spent way to much time getting at a couple nuts to remove the splash gaurd....
SO HERE IS THE ****** UP PART!!!!! I started with the front for the installation of the Cobb springs....started on the passenger side.....no problem....went smooth......I then took out the driver side and compressed the sping, took the center nut off to remove the top piece and look what I found (see pic) ...now I am ****** until maybe Wed. or Thurs. of next week. I had complained to Mazda 8 months ago about a clunking noise coming from the driver side when going into a parking lot kinda sideways and they blew me off....now I know why!!!! I am ******* pissed!!!
Anyway.....I finished putting the passenger side on, did the rear springs and sway bar with no problems.....now I have all my new stuff (except the driver side spring of course) installed and no where to go. ****!!!!
I am going to L.A. on Friday so the better get me my part before the end of the week.....and at NO charge!!!!!!

Isnt that just a bump stop for when you bottom out?You should be ok to run with it like that.

It is indeed the bump stop.....but I don't feel too safe after all the work I did putting that back in a cruising on like nothing happened. I have heard some thud noises coming from the front for many months....feel like it is that....
I mean, would you put that back in your car??? I'm not going to go through the re-esembly just to drive it for a few days,. take it all back apart when I get the part......**** that.
I have a truck as well.....unfortunately it's a gas hog and I drive 100 miles a day to and from work....but I am just going to hang....take my strut assembly to Mazda on Monday and see what bulls*** they give me.....either way, the part is like $32, the warehouse is 500 miles away so they will have to order it on monday and I'll probably get it by Thurs.....then I head to L.A on Friday.....hope I make it.

if it makes a noise...thats no good...imo you should get it changed

I dont think that is what was making the noise unless you where bottoming the car out.On some of my other cars when I installed lowering springs I had to shave off alot of the bump stop and didnt have any problems with them.Those are only for when you bottom out to cushion the blow but if you are not bottoming out they do nothing.I guess I would replace it since you have it apart but I dont think its much to worry about.
