I see that car almost everyday. I think he goes to school or works in Pasadena. Very nice.

That would be a nice project car. Buy a 92 SC300 for around $5-6K, slap on a 2JZGTE w/ 6spd tranny for around another $5-6K, and there you go, you got a Toyota Soarer. Combination of speed and luxury.

Do it man My buddy just did one, but he used the older version of the 2JZGTE. the one that came on the JDM 89 Supra's. Much cheaper to go this route, but no 6 speed tranny

I also have a 1jz option right out of a soarer...
2.5tt is a good engine also.

The actual costs of swping in a 2JZ-GTE are closer to 8-10k

a guy that showed up to one of our TCPC meets just bought an SC300 and is going to be doing that next summer.

Theyve become so much more affordable, which is why more & more people are building them.

Heres a pic of mine I paid 8k for it. I've got the suspension coming and 4piston capler Supra brakes sitting in the garage right now.

very nice...what color is that? The only problem I'd have is the hefty weight of the soarer, but you get great lux, style, and speed.

Are you getting a body kit? which one?

The color is Spruce = gray with a hint of blue. I love that drifting Soarer, it actually has carbon fiber doors!
