We like Porsches Cayenne, and we love Porsches Carrera GT. That said, we dont think mixing styling cues from one with the other is a good idea. The mad scientists at Gemballa, a German Porsche tuner, think otherwise, and decided to mix-and-match for their hi-po Cayenne, GTR 700 Tornado.

Notable cues lifted from the Stuttgart-built supercar include the five-spoke alloy wheels, the large grille openings up front, and that carbon fiber hood dome up front, but the look isnt pretty. Especially since Gemballa also felt inclined to throw in a host of other styling cues that dont seem to fit anywhere on the SUV. Why they felt inclined to fit taillamps from a 1985 Ferrari 412 is beyond us, although the split spoiler and brake light at roof level is also a mystery. The interiors not much better; again, Gemballa attempts to channel the Carrera GT by building a new center console sweep and mounting all of the contents of the stock stack within.

We hear the GTR 700 Tornado manages to squeeze close to 700 horsepower out of the twin-turbo 4.8-liter V-8, but although we prefer go over show, were not sure we can get over the exterior. Sign us up for a Gemballa Mirage, instead.

Ay Ay Ay. Possibly it's just me but BMW or Porsche SUVs (or any SUV) are not my thing, even pimped. My brother digs them though, yet I think this one has gone a little bit overboard. He found one the other day (earlier model) which I liked a little bit more (see thumbnails). Not too much stuff going on, just a decent aero kit (dunno)

Oh my GOD!! Both of these Cayennes are hideous! At least this is not something Porsche has put out, I don't think they could do such a thing, even to a Cayenne. Oh, the pics from coolmazda5 are of a Cayenne Turbo S, which comes with 520 hp from the factory, why they put that huge funky-ass bumper on it we may never know...
