problem w/ sway bar clunking

So, I got underneath the car tonight to see why the hell my sway bar is making way too much noice when I hit even the smallest bumps. I was envisioning something bad. Well, other than having to tighten the tops of the endlinks, I couldn't find anything. Grr. (maybe that was it?) It's def gotten worse since last week.

However, I do have a question about the endlinks. As seen in the picture, I tightened that nut. Am I supposed to? The end links seem quite bound, to be honest and wondering if that's my issue. It was too dark to take any pics, but I'm curious to know.

I'm having the same issue. It kind of sucks that AWR does not provide any sort of help at all with their products.

I'm going to eventually (when I stop being lazy)go back to the stock endlinks and see if that fixes the clunking.

Welcome to the club. I've just grown used to it. If you search, there are several "fixes" for this problem. What or if they actually do anything is debatable. When I installed mine, I used the semi-popular grommet fix, but they dried up and cracked not long after being installed, and now I clunk around town like everyone else. Ah well.

This is interesting. I have the AWR end links with my Hotchkis bar and I don't have clunking issues. Hmmm.

Where do you put said grommets?

The tightening of the top bolts on the end link assemblies seemed to do the trick. I'd say the clunking is reduced to next to nothing. Looks like I'll have to keep on top of it.

similar problem with the proteges, i switched to greasable bearings and re-greased them regularly. It was very helpful, didnt get rid of the problem, but certainly made it better

So, let me tell how much of a douche I feel like today! Yesterday, I removed the truck cover in order to fit a jogging stroller in. I left it in, and I all of a sudden realized there was no more clunking!!!! It's not the damn sway bar at all!!! It's the cover! DOH!!
