Pictures of different styles of gauges?

Hey, does anyone have a picture of their gauges? I'm sure people have different styles, either on the steering wheel mount or the door panel, or the dash. I was wondering if people could show me some pics of where they put their extra gauges in their car. I'm contemplating where I should put mine, whichever looks cooler:)

And I'm not mechanically inclined, do you guys recommend where to get it set up? Either dealership, performance shop, etc etc. I just don't want to mess with it myself and get something wrong.

do a search for dumbkeola's setup. pretty mean, he has 3 gauges above the glove box. - chris

check out my gauges and pod i got from jegs.com if i had to do it all over, i would get an oil pressure gauge instead of the air/fuel. oh well!

The best jobs are going to take some work. I would suggest two options. You can do one like Funspeed did with 2 or 3 gauges in a piller pod. the most common gauges will be like boost, A/F, and oil Pressure. This will be the most conveinent to see with out taking your eyes off the track (or road).

the second, I would suggest taking out the door that is below your stereo and you can put two or maybe three if you get small enough gauges. This will not be the best setup to see the gauges at an easy glance. but this will look very clean and you wont have to do the piller like everyone else.

out of these 2 major options, wich there are many more out there, you have to find the one that will fit your application and style. if you want to go the easy route, duct tape the thing to steering colum. :bs: ;)

the best of luck to ya!

am I the only one who doesnt like these aftermarket gauges? I think they look tacky, and are obviously an addition to the car. I mean some people need them, but they just look so icky. I saw an M3 BMW with all that information displayed through the head unit, in real time. Theres just too much of a cluster with all these gauges, isnt it distracting? my 2 cents...

well it was actually pretty easy. There are two screws located at the top of the plastic piece above your steering column. Remove those, then remove the clear plastic housing by unsnapping the 5 or 6 clips... very slowly.. I leared the hard way, It can break if you dont unsnap them individually. Although it was only $12 to replance the piece from the dealership.
Then Lay the CF piece over the gauge cluster, usually they have double sided tape. Snap the clear plastic housing back, and the same with the black piece and its two screws.

wow those are amazing pics guys. I like the one underneath the stereo.......looks tight. Having it hang along the side panel is tight too....can't decide...they all good. THanks again guys. I figure this would be the simplest mod there. I'm still iffy about increasing boost right now. Keep up the good posts guys.
