Did you try tightening the thru bolt more? I have the same mount and there is no gap between the bushing insert and mount housing.

i have a sls front motor mount and mine did the same thing, i dont think you should worry about it.

hate to bring back a couple old month tread, didnt want to start a new one. Did you ever fix this? I installed mine three days ago and has done this exact thing but two times worse! did i over tighten???

You are my hero for bumping an old thread instead of making a new one. :)

On topic, I have the SLS front mount, and never had any problems with anything separating. Hmm.

Strange is it not? You know the bolt the goes through the bracket-->mount, i tightened that thing like crazy should i not do that? Also its pulling out from the top and wedging at the bottom like the mount is to high for bracket, or the engine is sitting low. I don't want this to mess anything else up so any advice on this would be great. How did you install it? i used a floor jack and 2X4 underneath the oil pan maybe not enough?

So you have a front mount? Or the passenger side mount?

I just drove my car up on ramps and dug in. Pulled out the old mount, shoved in the new one. I do remember that it was a tight fit to get the new mount in there .. As far as tightening, I believe I just tightened as much as I could.

Can you take a pic or two of your mount as it is now?

I think he's talking about the side mount as the front mount has to be squeezed into the cross member.

Maybe trying buy large diameter steel washers and then tighten it so the washers squeeze the side mount together.

from what i realized the reasons is other motor mounts could be broken which put tension on the sls one.
