Do they make any shark fin antenna's for the Protege 5?? I have surched all over this sight and haven't found any P5's with the shark fin antenna? If you have one post a pic and a how to install if you could? And if you know where to get one let me know. Thanks for your help

I think the p5 has a nice line across the top...the shark fin antenna breaks that. kinda comes out of nowhere I think

Hmmm.... can't decide if I like it or not. It is a little bulky. What do you guys think?? Here are all the picks I found from the sight you gave me whitemp5seattle(thanks alot for the link and the research you did):

After seeing it I can Defintely say i am NOT a fan of it. However, in an attempt to thjreadjack, I do really like the side vinyl on the first car you posted, the silver car with the black line and MP5 on it. Anyone know where to get that? or other P5 specific vinyls?

yah, that is the same link that whitemp5seattle posted above and where I got the pics above from. Thanks though

Post up pics to compare side by side the stocker vs the fin. I can see what whitemp5seattle is saying about the roofline.

Put on 3 like in the scion commercial......or put 1 on the top each front fender & put a tiny turn indicator lamp in the back on them facing the driver cause I'm not gonna & somebody needs to.

I think that the shark fin antenna kills the accent that the P5 has.. Almost like an "eye sore"... well that's my opinion.. up to you tho...

Peace,
RJ

Yah I think I like my billet stubby antenna:

It looks more natural, and putting three shark fin antennas on there would be more of an eye gouge than an eye sore. Well now there is a thread for others that wonder what the shark fin looks like on a P5 which is why I started this thread.

Just so we are clear here, there was not 1 ounce of seriousness in my suggestions of using multiple shark fins.

I love mine! I like it because it also covers up my Sirius antenna as well. I hated looking at the two on top of my roof!

That looks cool without racks or the leftover strips from removing the crossbars. I use my racks so the sirius is over to the side hiding against the rack rails & have the stubby for FM. IMO the shark fin doesn't look as good unless the roof is all clean shaven like yours.

Uh, no joke - a line of shark fins (parallel to the spoiler) across the back (4/5ths of the total lenght of the roof) of the roof would help reduce high speed drag. This would break up the vortex caused by the airflow around the rear end. Think the dimples on the golf ball - kinda' effect. Trip ('break up') the laminar flow around the vehicle at the right places.

Stoopid looking? probably. Less lame than the 'towel rack' on a Civic? yep.
