Just finished installing my ScangaugeII 3 in 1 automotive computer scan tool.
Here's a few looks at it.....

So where is it?

See it now?

Right now it's showing engine RPMs, coolant temp.(197*F), intake air temp.(136*F), and ing. timing.

It's kind of a neet thing to have, and the code scan part is the best!

will that work on my 2006 Mazdaspeed 6?
How much/what vendor did you purchase it from? and how did you hook it up?
Does it just connect to your diagnostic port with no other connections nessessary? That's what I'd assume being that its a scan tool mostly.

Yes, it will work on your Speed6. Infact, the Speed6 will also give you manifold press. readings, as well as fuel press. readings.
It's about $150.00 or so, I bought mines as part a Group Buy on another Mazda6 forum board, so I paid a lot less.
Here's the link to the vender: http://www.therpmstore.com/
And yes, there's only one conection to make. At the diagnostic port!
You gotta get one!:)

Pardon my newbness, but does manifold pressure = boost?

But, but, what about about the cigarette lighter?!

You can get one at a local gas station for 99 cents. (glare)

but if you need it for the power outlet theres one in the armrest...or you could just install another fuse block and wire your radar detector to that, that's my plan for next summer.

Manifold absolute press. or MAF = the manifolds state of pressure, or vacuum.
As far as the cig.lighter/power outlet. I'd rather have the Scan Tool there.
I don't smoke, and don't let anyone smoke in the car. And as far as power is concerned, it's like jdub260 said, in the arm rest, and you can always tap the fuse block.....that's what I'm gonna do to bring another power outlet back into the car.

Isn't Manifold Absolute Pressure = MAP whereas MAF = Mass Air Flow?

You're right: MAP
My bad! Thanks for catching that for me Rainman (braindead

So from what I'm reading MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) = Boost??

If so this could be used as a boost gauge so that I don't have to mount one and run the tubing. I really don't want to mount a guage somewhere if I don't have to.
