19inch Rims

hey guys im from england, i just got my hands on a set of wheels 18inch, but unfortunatly they have an offset of 40. i presume this wont fit? i have a mazda 323sport (protege5).

anway i've found a set of 19 inch wheels with a 45 offset, would they fit on my mazda? has anyone put 19s on a protege5?. i've ebach springs.

cheers guys

thanks for the help

I think that you would have to roll your fenders in the back with the extra height you will get out of the 19s and the +45 offset. I'm assuming they are 19x7.5 right? Just a warning....I knew a guy with 19s on his P5....with the extra short sidewall he ended up denting one in a pothole. Good luck though.

Also, be sure to check out Rishie's fitment guide in the wheels/suspension forums.

I've seen 19s on a Protege, but it was a sedan. The sedans have more room under the rear fenders. 45 offset is really low, the stock wheels are at least 50. Check the wheels/tires/brakes/suspension forum in the main forum index. There's a thread stickied at the top with a wheel/tire/offset fitment recipe for the Protege sedan and Protege5.

hey I have a question for ya though. Is your 323 badged "323" or "323F" on the rear? I have a "323" badge on the back of my Protege5, but I've seen the 323F used as well so I was wondering what was actually used over there.

Cheers guys, i did a search but the topic didnt come up, but i've had a read through and its very intresting. i dont think i'll have the headache of getting 19s, i've got some 18s sitting here with 35 profile tyres on except the offset is 40, and i think im screwed with them as well.

yer my cars badged 323f, just usally most people refer to it as a 323.

Hey mate, I have 18's on my P5, they are +45 offset and 7.5" wide, with 215-35-18's on them, and they have heaps of clearance in the guards. As far as I could see, if you had 19x7.5" rims with 215-35's or 215-30's and an offset of +45, you shouldn't have too much of an issue. My car is lowered, but not excessively. Click on my Rippers ride in my sig, and that may give you an idea of clearances

yes, they fit...one of our DFWmazdas member has G-Games 19s....fit perfect and with a drop.

yeah, but that that is sedan and plus he is talking about a 40 offset. I believe they will rub unless you get a bigger offset or roll your fenders. plus unless you have really nice roads, the ride will be horrible and might damage the rims.

I think he was asking about the 19s. Although the sedan does have 1mm more...this guy has 225/35/19s on a 8" rim with a 45mm offset. Lowered with fenders rolled. Has JIC coilovers.

Do a search. A sedan just posted some pictures with his new 19s.

Here are some Pros with 19s.
