Oil Filters

It seems that a lot of people on here are very particular about replacement parts and things. Like spark plugs, a lot of you are very particular with some stuff so im wondering what you all think as far as oil filters. would just a fram one work? I dont know what filters are good and what arent

Fram sucks, google can show a lot of info. Purolater os good, as well as K&N.

I use the Mazda oil filter. Rather than use the one specified for the Protege/P5, I use the 626 V6 oil filter. It has the same thread and pressure relief valve setting as OEM but has ~ 30% more internal volume. Probably unnecessary but it certainly can't hurt.

Double on the Fram sucks, Purolator is good. I had a '94 Miata with an oil pressure gauge that actually showed the real oil pressure, and the Purolators always gave me the highest readings. Not that it proves much of anything, but it made me sleep better at night.
