I've searched every thread that has to do with foglights, but it seems no one really has done the install using factory wiring. I bought the switch and the front harness that goes to the plug behind the winshield washer resevoir. But my foglights still don't come on. Do I need a certain relay and how would I wire that relay. I looked at all the wiring after the switch and there is no where to plug in a factory relay or anything so i guess I would have to splice it in. But to what wires would I splice? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

yeah do you have one, i have p5 foglight on my car ask never sober cause he did it on mine i forgot what he did

Yes I have the switch and the harness. Both bought from mazda dealer so they are the stock ones.

n/m I figured it out. I need the factory relay. Theres a white plug under the dash. Thanks all.

If you've ever looked behind those "vents" its blocked behind it. So airflow is already noflow.

Can you share the part numbers?
I was looking to do the same for my 2003.5 MSP.

All you need is the:

OEM toggle switch
OEM Relay (I have an extra one)
15 amp fues (blue) in the engine fues box

I made my own wire harness (first)

so do the p5 fogs fit 03.5 lip??? wtf
NO!!! I have gone through this headache. I bought PIAA 540 because I was told they would fit the lip and they DON"T FIT. I tried the P5 fogs but they are too large and don't fit. I had to go through some trouble and exchange the 540 for the 510. I now have 510 but I don't like the way they look so I'm not going to bother putting them in. Once agian, P5 fogs WILL NOT fit the 03.5 lip, nor will the PIAA 540. The only fogs that fit the 03.5 lip are the PIAA 510 to my knowledge. I think I'm going to end up cutting behind the plastic grille on the air dam and place the fogs behind the plastic grille so it still looks clean during the day and lights up at night. Wish me luck, I don't look forward to cutting. Good luck with your project.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but did u get it done? I'd really like to see some fogs placed behind the plastic grille like on subys
