Im currently in the process of trying to piece together the msp turbo kit and i have the manifold, and i know that the turbo on the msp is a garret t25, but when i search it on ebay i get all these dsm t 25s from second gen eclipses. am i searching wrong? Do those fit with the msp manifold? Are they the same...from the pics on most of them they seem kinda old.
Yes i am new at this, so any constructive criticism will be appreciated

The T25 turbine housing (which is the exhaust side of the turbocharger) should look like the attached picture. Housings are sometimes interchangable too. But I believe the picture is the standard format.

The MSP turbo is a T25. That I know. The callaway manifold has a rectangular, four-bolt plate.

Without seeing a T25 from a DSM, I wouldn't be able to tell you much.

Bump for people who know much more than I do.

i am looking for an answer to this question as well. I have the msp kit in my ES but need to replace the turbo. all the T25s i see on e-bay, from factory eclipse/300zx/sr20det seem to have the same flange for the exhaust manifold. the only problem i could see is having to replace the stock msp s-pipe...i.e. getting full custom exhaust.

You could get a brand new gt25 or t25 from garrett, i'm sure. otherwise the stock msp turbo, which is stupid expensive if you get from a dealership.

THe turbos are different, I have done the searching and have had both turbos, they are different. The eclipse turbo is not ball bearing and the inlets are different. The ic pipes would not work. Trust me.

Okay, but assuming the exhaust mani flange was right, i could get new pipes and all if i'm getting a front-mount anyway. right?

Also the turbo from a second gen eclipse is not a T-25 it is a TD05 and completly different. You will need the msp turbo if you want to run it like stock. Otherwise everything will need to be made custom. Also the exhaust housings are different so you will need a new flange. In the end it will just cost more money then just waiting and finding an msp turbo.
