manifold HELP PLEASE!

i was going thur the parts i got for my turbo, and found a break on the manifold can this be fixed or am i f@&ked. i called the company that shipped it and i am going to try and file a claim the box was jacked up. anybody that can help PLEASE HELP. wilson

I have no idea about the conidition as to whether or not it can be fixed, but irregardless of the fact, ship it back and file a claim.

Not sure if welding would be an option? Maybe an epoxy used to fix cracks in exhaust manifolds?..hard to tell from the break..Let me think more..

I don't believe epoxy could handle the heat that the manifold is going to be at.

I'm sure your probably right.. I thought there were some 2 part mixtures you could use specifically for exhaust manifold cracks? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere..not sure how long it would last..
Just thinking outloud...
I think I remember a few guys running old spool kits that had no EGR hook up..what was the outcome of this?? anyone remember? CEL?

im runnin a spool manifold and the egr isnt hooked up at all. havent thrown a code yet, suprisingly, but it has only been about 60 miles since i put the turbo kit on. if anything, seal the manifold and weld the egr closed, no big deal, and no problems.

Yeah, that looks like an EGR recirc. You aren't fuct, but i'd still try and get a different manifold. You don't need that to recirculate, but you might throw a code.

i took the manifold to my boy Mark at One6Motorsports, just like you guys sre saying . i can run with out it. if is going to weld it shut, and if i threw a cell he said he will remake the set up for me so i can hook it up. thanks guys for the info wilson
