My cousin also likes this stuff. He really digs it, I remember when he went to Tonga, i think is an island very close to Australia...to get some specimens that are mostly found there. Some are in his house, some of them he mailed back to his place and sold them.

i love the way that tank is set up. i love the flush mount look. this is what my wife wants to do when we get a house. to me that translates into $$$$$ (boom07)

Lol, I've got a 100 tank and stand while we're at it. I work in Fish Store if any of you ever need some question answered, just shoot me a PM.

were selling our other tank aswell. a 36g bowfront with the stand and lighting system. any takers?

I'm torn between a 100 gallon saltwater tank or a chinchilla. I want one or the other. I just don't know. 100 gallon tank with saltwater fish: A couple hundred. Chinchilla: $150 without cage/accessories. How hard is the maintenance on a saltwater Jose?

it depends. if you just want a regular saltwater tank with saltwater fish, it shouldnt be too hard. if you want to go more along the lines of a reef, it will cost you a couple of thousand, not hundred. case in point: we dropped $500 yesterday on a new, more capable filtration system.

So then if I want just a big tank with saltwater fish is shouldn't cost as much as a "reef" set-up. What about maintance? All I have to do is change 10-15% of the water every month? Is is a.p.i.t.a. to prevent algae build-up even in saltwater? Or is it less than fresh water?

honestly, i dont know about about the differences in algae build-up and water changes, but a saltwater fish setup will cost substantially less than a reef setup.
