The Darkside has taken over

:
05 Mazda 6s sport & Mazda 3I Touring
My Spool kit has been installed. I paid $1200 for the kit. I guess I should say it was not a complete kit . I recieved the following:

Spool Mainfold Stage 2
t3 turbo
All the IC piping
HKS SSQV blow off valve
oil feed line, return line
FMU
intake
some silicone hose and clamps
bad downpipe
punctured and twisted intercooler
$1200.00

Here is what I had to buy:

Intercooler $150.00 shipped (ebay)
Innovate Wideband $375.00
MAM vaccum block, brass fitting oil tee, hex bolts and nuts $65.00
FM02 clamp $120.00
vaccum line $20.00
T bolt clamps $45.00
Exhaust work $80.00
boost guage, dual pod $50.00
Misc parts $60.00
Mini Fliter and Intake Filter $35.00
Tial flange, mild steel pipe for dump tube $25.00
Downpipe from "Discreet Speed" Maurice $120.00 (thumb)

This was definatly an experience. Thank you Eli for all the help over those 2 weeks. Thank you Maurice for giving me some tips on the install and being there to listen. Beau thanks for pointing me in the direction for fittings and getting me the parts I needed to finsh the install. I tell you just when you think you have everything you have to stop and run to get more stuff that you forgot. I was glad I did it on my own and it was not that hard you just have to take you time and make sure everthing is tight. I had no leaks on the first shot and it runs very good. Eli has driven my car and agrees with me that I got a good bargin thanks Protege 2K. I think it would be safe to say that I am putting down between 160 and 170 hp on 4.5 PSI. The dyno can only tell. I am using the stock mid pipe and a 2.25 exhaust. I think if I put on a 3 inch exhaust and a bigger mid pipe, open up the boost to 6 PSI I could probably do 180hp. I am pretty happy with it now though. I have no urge in cranking it up (glare). I think my spending is on hold. (crazy) :( Wifey is a little tired of me spending turbo money plus my little girls need to have a Christmas this year.I have to save up for the MPI tuner and a Laptop for the car. I will also be purchasing slim fans, motor mounts and shifter bushings in the very near future. I will try and post pictures . BOOST IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

That manifold is now on its 4th owner. Glad to hear you finally got everything running, I was thinking about calling you the other day to get an update. Sorry about the intercooler, I never even noticed it was twisted. For $150 the one you got looks pretty damn good though.

Now just up that boost by about 4lbs and the car will really come alive. ;)

I shot the picture from the side. Believe me when I say I took my time when putting everthing on my car. Ask Eli. :) My car sat for 3 weeks. It's on straight. (thumb)
